A boy with strong feelings of femininity grows up on Montana;s macho world of cowboys, wranglers, cattle and pickup trucks. In his senior year he forgoes a trip to Florida over spring break and travels to California to see a gender therapist. He subsequently moves there to continue seeing her.
Shortly (s)he is contacted by a state investigator who is looking into his therapist's practice. He agrees to co-operate with her as he begins his transition. After finishing his cosmetology training, he goes to work for a chain of salons owned by a supermodel.
He undergoes SRS and then learns the state's investigation of his therapist has been dropped and is now focusing on the drug he and other patients have been given. The drug is subsequently pulled from the market and he begins taking its replacement, living happily as a woman
