"Hello, Meghan," She said, "What's a girl like you doing in a nice place like this?"
"What?" Meghan said in question, turning to face Reed. "I don't know you."
Reed smiled and shifted in the chair. "Well, I know you. Otherwise, how could I have called your name?"
By that time Meghan was curious so she moved closer. All she saw was a young student, corduroy slacks slightly soiled, wool Mackinaw shirt, scuffed boots and a French beret. "Well, guy," she said finally. "You have me at a disadvantage."
"Just the way I like my women." Reed answered in a falsetto voice. "Would you like to dance? Your date has entered the finalists line."
"Only if you unravel this mystery for me." Meghan answered.
On the dance floor, Reed embraced the pretty Meghan and held her close. She whispered into her ear. "It's the first time I"ve seen you without Amy."
"That's all!" She broke away from the dance posture and stomped her foot.
Reed forcefully took her again and they discontinued that dance. "I can give you a clue," she whispered into Meghan's ear. "I live with a really cute guy named Toby."
Meghan stopped, squinted each time the circulating light caught Reed in the face and then squealed, "No way!" Up one decibel, she shrieked, "Reed Rainier!"
