From A Female Impersonator and Bridal Consultant...
When the stage curtain opened, there were cheers as I curtsied and began my number. I began with the blusher over my face (ed.: part of a bridal veil), but halfway through I removed it and moved toward the front of the stage. I did the number with plenty of romantic zeal. When it was over, I curtsied, like any refined woman, turned my back toward the audience, threw my bouquet toward the audience, and walked off the stage, like a bride who had just taken a husband. I changed into my blue bridesmaid dress and matching pumps and sat down next to Susan.
"How'd I do sweetie?" I asked. "You were terrific, honey! You were able to do everything to absolute perfection, right down to the curtsying." she replied before kissing me on my lips, reddening my cheeks.
