From Aunt Priscilla's Will...
Once in the bedroom, I went over to my mirror, the first mirror I had looked in since the parlor visit and the first full length mirror and was astonished at what I saw. Before I had somehow only seen my face and the massive alterations on my body. Now I saw the full effect of the make-up with the dress and seemingly for the first time, saw my hair. It had been put up so that my ears hung out. There was a fine braid-like line around the crown with a spray of curls inside it. Anne must have worked overtime to do it. It almost looked a a crown of hair with sort of randomly placed points that were all sort of uniformly bent (uh, curled?)
