The air outside felt great. The wind had come up slightly. A few people went back inside, leaving Chelsea alone.

"Hi," said a voice, startling Chelsea. It was Daryl.

"Oh it's you," said Shelsea in a slightly haughty tone.

"Yeah, I followed you out here so I could talk with you." Daryl looked dapper in his tux with a navy blue bow tie.

"Well, yeah, we would have to be alone. After all, our so-called friendship has to be kept hidden, for your rep and all." When Chelsea said this, Daryl knew that she was far from pleased with him.

"Yeah well." he replied. "Maybe things could be different." Chelsea looked him square in the eye.

"How so?" she asked. Daryl could not take his eyes off her. She was amazing, the girl for him. He had known this for a long time, but until he saw with Trent, he had a hard time admitting his feelings.

"Chelsea, I want to be with you. The time I spend with you is the best. I love you, Chelsea."

Chelsea could not believe what she was hearing. For a second she thought she might run into his arms, but she stayed in place.

"Hi," said another male voice. "Am I interrupting something?" It was Trent.

Chelsea went to him and looked at Dary. "We have to get back inside. I'm sure Raelene is looking for you, Daryl. Have a good night." Chelsea turned and walked back into the gym on Trent's arm. Daryl was left outside, alone.
