Mrs. Barrow used a total of four different colours on Kimmy's eyes. The first was a pale pink, applied from her eyelids up to her new eyebrows. Then a slightly darker lavender on the inner part of her eyelid. and a bold purple on the outer part. The purple was applied slightly above the top of the lid in an pward sweep, drawing the corner of the eye upward. Finally a smokey, dark charcoal was used to like the upper lid, and again was used to draw the outer corner of the eye upward.
"Ooh so pretty!" remarked Kimmy as she looked at the results in the mirror. She took a lot of notes on this step, as Mrs. Barrow had a lot of advice. "Do you really think I can do this for myself!" she asked.
"Oh yes. This step is a bit tricky, but other girls far younger than you master the procedures easily. You just find some time to practice and you'll be an expert in no time. Now we apply the eyeliner."
